Alfonso Clark Burke III (WAS) – “Trey”

Profile:
Point Guard: 6’1, 192 lbs; 5th year, Michigan
NBA Role: scoring point guard • UnderDOG
A former campus hero (at Michigan), Trey Burke is an offensive-oriented lead guard who’s not afraid to take the big shot; foolishly casted as a potential franchise floor general, Burke is now in a more suitable role – could (eventually) become the East’s most reliable backup point guard in a few years; needs to have better command of an offense but Trey does work by patiently setting up PnR action & attacking w/ his midrange J; not super quick (won’t straight up blow by you like a Darren Collison (SAC) would) – Trey needs to find ways to get open off ball while discovering what zones to work (left elbow, at an angle from the top of the key) on the floor; an enigma as a shooter – the type of guy with nice form and concentration but just doesn’t always knock ’em down; really needs to improve defense & decision-making; will Burke continue to accept a smaller role as John Wall‘s backup knowing it could lead to bigger things down the line?
