Profile:

WAS Point Guard: 6’7, 210 lbs; 2nd year, Czech Republic

NBA Role: versatile shot creator • UnderDOG

Tomas Satoransky can play…and after a few years of waiting (drafted back in 2012), that’s a welcome sight for Wizards fans!; one of those dudes w/ first round talent but wasn’t drafted in the top 30 of his class because, well, you had no idea when he’d come to the states!* – tough to make an investment that far in advance but the ROI looks good: Satoransky has emerged as a threat under Coach Scott Brooks, running the show well backing up John Wall; 6’7 playmaker w/ a nice shot and natural, basketball instincts – basically, Tomas knows where he wants/has to go, will get there (despite your best defensive effort) and make a play for himself (or others); good penetrator, uses size to get deep in the paint before dishing out to shooters; should attack the basket a bit more, finish off drives; to add to his rapidly-evolving versatility, Tomas must add strength & learn how to play outta the post – gives WAS another dynamic to (potentially/eventually) run offense thru

*#30 to #31 (and beyond) in the draft is the diff. between a guaranteed salary & a non-guaranteed one – Tomas had ‘guaranteed talent’ & upside even way back then but he (obviously) took a few years to come over
