Thaddeus Young (IND) – “Awkward Smooth”

Profile:
Forward: 6’8, 221 lbs.; 11th year, Georgia Tech
NBA Role: scoring, hybrid forward • Hybrid
He doesn’t have the name recognition of other players with comparable production but don’t get it twisted, Thaddeus Young makes a nice impact each night; a bouncy, hybrid forward who presents invaluable intangibles to the table, T. Young works hard on D and brings a shifty, yet controlled approach when charging to the cup*; efficient scorer and slasher – rarely makes mistakes on the court; takes his time if there’s a mismatch – Young has a natural speed advantage over most fours, can score off the dribble or faceup on the elbow; needs to stretch the floor better, starting to adapt: solid below the 3-pt. line but Young struggles w/ deep range (a notch above ‘non-shooter’); features nifty, lefty finishes in the lane – tough to cover; multiple effort guy who’d be a perfect, 2004 Antawn Jamison-type of Sixth Man on a contender
*check out this timing:
Signature Shot: spinning, lefty floater
(*factory setting*) NBA 2K17 Rating: 79
