Serge Ibaka’s a two-way power forward who loves sending shots into oblivion; though he’s declined a bit in recent years, Ibaka still has excellent value as a help side shot-blocker – NBA’s active career leader in bpg (2.5/night) – counted on to protect the basket whether he’s at the 4 or 5; one of the game’s top watch dogs – won’t send every shot flying but has learned to defend without fouling and alters a ton of looks near the rim (lost a step in one-on-one D the past couple years, however); needs to transfer steadier play on offense: sure, Serge’s bread & butter is his J but he settles way too much – should faceup more, drive the lane; dealt to Raptors (Feb. ’17) – helps Coach Casey set the tone up front – pivotal role as a veteran leader, floor spacer and glue guy
