Mike Miller (DEN) – “Slim”

Profile:
Shooting Guard/Small Forward: 6’8, 218 lbs; 17th year, Florida
NBA Role: veteran shooter • DEN Depth Chart: Spot Minutes
Let it fly, Mike Miller…let it fly; Mike Miller’s been hitting threes and playing an important role for almost 17 years; veteran shooter who made a difference on championship teams – if MM wants a career in coaching, handing off a few tricks (like adapting your game after an injury*, scoring off curls, etc.) to DEN’s young wings is a great place to start; not much left in the tank – Denver’s a solid spot to contribute occasionally while deciding upon his post-basketball career: has naturals ties to Memphis & Miami but DEN is a more “relaxed” environment, if you will; such a balanced shooter in his day, hard to speed up – takes his time coming off screens, knows how to maximize tight shooting pockets; has always fought hard for boards, very tough wing; hopefully MM has a fully healthy season (2016-17) as he winds things down
*Miller had to reinvent himself after nagging back injuries – transitioned more into a spot-up shooting/rebounding role instead of a more 3-point-curl scoring-escape dribble-drive guy like he was in MEM
