Mason Plumlee (DEN) – “Plumdog Millionaire”

Profile:
Center: 6’11, 235 lbs; 5th year, Duke
NBA Role: athletic pivot • UnderDOG
Mason Plumlee: THE most underrated center in the NBA; Nuggets are young and wanna run, which suits Mason’s game to a tee – gained valuable experience with Team USA during the 2014 FIBA World Championship, played more than many anticipated mainly* because he runs the floor so well; will jam on you in transition – or after a miss – but isn’t a super polished offensive player – struggles to score outside of 15 feet, midrange J needs more work (slight hitch, shoots a bit slow); needs to add a few more moves while posting (& facing) up; extremely confident ‘slip playmaker’ – Mason opens himself up after setting hard screens up top – catches the rock, stays patient & dishes to an open guy…undervalued to have a center capable of doing this; acquired by DEN (Feb. ’17) – potential X-Factor in Coach Malone’s second unit
*the other part is…Duke
