Marquese Chriss (PHX) – “MC”

Profile:
Forward: 6’10, 235 lbs; 2nd year, Washington
NBA Role: (raw) offensive-minded forward • Future Top DOG
Seemingly out of thin air, Marquese Chriss swiftly valued to the top of draft boards in 2016 – now, he’s a strong building block in PHX; a jumpy, new wave forward, Chriss has all the raw tools to become a perennial All-Star: mobile, athletic – at 6’10, he can spring up for oops, roll back for jumpers (3-pt. range) and rotate on D; nice base as a shooter – Marquese has an easy release, able to get clean looks after screening; more jump shot reps should increase his range & offensive durability over the course of 82 games; very raw defender – fouls a ton – can he check post players or should he check 3s?; doesn’t back down from anyone, which is good – however, Chriss needs to cut down on techs, pick his battles; has earned Earl Watson’s starting power forward spot – there’ll be growing pains aplenty but now’s the time to buy stock; PHX’s undisputed X-Factor
