A second-round steal outta Mizzou, Jordan Clarkson can get buckets; tall guard who preys below the three-point line – smells blood if given too much space to operate after a high screen, loves relying on probing jumpers, floaters and easy finishes near the rim; burgeoning shooter from 3-point land – can he raise his percentage higher than 35%?)\; more of scorer/driver than set up man in the PnR, gets tunnel vision if afforded a head of steam; highest defensive upside of any Laker guard?; up next – Clarkson has tremendous potential as a do-everything wing player: consistent scoring (in the 15-20 points/night range), shot creating* & defense; LAL’s undisputed X-Factor
*JC shouldn’t focus on getting more dimes, per se (hockey assists, quick dishes to start a swing-swing chain will suffice) – read, react, survey the field & put an emphasis on making the right play, which he’s naturally good at (alongside DAR, Clarkson’s improved passing could give Luke Walton’s offense a varied dynamic)
