John Wall (WAS) – “J-Wall”

Profile:
Point Guard: 6’4, 195 lbs; 8th year, Kentucky
NBA Role: star, two-way floor general • DIFF. BREED
Q: What do you get when you combine graceful athleticism, the speed of a Porsche & vision of a hawk?
A: Washington Wizards superstar John Wall.
John Wall is, basically, a 2K MyPlayer come to life* – but w/o the 99 J, it’s more like a 77; Wall’s play style: true PG but w/ grace & power – he’ll dunk on anybody, he’s faster than everyone on the court and is one flashy-passing mf w/ insane vision – high basketball IQ – always lets it go at the right millisecond; All-Star w/ great command of the offense; good defender, gets a lot of blocks, steals; one of the few ‘worth the price of admission’ guys** – Wall features some of the most aesthetically pleasing moves in today’s game; a bit turnover prone, struggles to consistently hit long-range bombs; has lived up to the billing as a former #1 overall pick (2010) but can he lead Washington into contention? – new regime playing under Scott Brooks – the Wiz are dark horse contenders in the East; WAS’s undisputed franchise player
*this is damn near impossible to pull off on 2K, actually
**even if the Wizards are struggling, I’d still pay to see Wall – it’s like deciding to watch a movie from a pure, entertainment standpoint (“looks awful but Sam Jackson’s playing the President! so it’ll be fun”)
Signature Move: hard drive • lefty slam
(*factory setting*) NBA 2K17 Rating: 88
