Jeff Teague (IND) – “Firsto Lasto” | “Teague of Legends”

Profile:
Point Guard: 6’2, 181 lbs; 9th year, Wake Forest
NBA Role: creative finisher, playmaker • Star UnderDOG
Jeff Teague is an interesting player to follow, is starting to return to form in his hometown; Teague is best when he’s afforded the luxury of running – ATL did it well but Indy’s starting five oozes athleticism*; cat-quick PG who’s improved his efficiency from downtown (shot 40% in 15-16); converts at a high rate in transition and gets to his spots (left elbow in) rather easily – can blow by nearly everyone when he unleashes his nasty first step; no longer a mediocre shooter, Teague needs to shift his focus on finishing through contact, ramping up his defense (effective when locked in) & taking care of the rock when Nate McMillan puts an emphasis on running; for Indiana to contend in the East, Teague’s leadership needs to be A1 (is a return to the ASG a possibility? yes.)
*sure Jeff was used to a more PnR-drive & kick-3-point heavy system in ATL but he’s the type of athlete (& improved decision-maker; TO avg. under 3/night for over 4 years) who loves making plays in the open court
Signature Move: burst of speed, layup
(*factory setting*) NBA 2K17 Rating: 79
