James Johnson (MIA) – “JJ” | “Jimmy Johns”

Profile:
Forward: 6’9, 250 lbs; 8th year, Wake Forest
NBA Role: two-way, hybrid forward • Star UnderDOG
James Johnson is a poor man’s LeBron James (CLE) (in a very generous sense) – versatile athlete, strong frame, exceptional at creating opportunities for teammates*; sporadic playing time has yielded weird roles in the past – hard to integrate? – making a memorable mark in Miami; defends very well – leverages his body correctly: quick enough to stick w/ most threes, strong enough to handle a lot of four men; an inconsistent stroke from downtown, combined w/ & inconsistecy (at times) has held JJ back a bit; currently, Johnson does damage as a mid-post passer/defender off Coach Spo’s bench – one of the league’s top reserves
*JJ doesn’t have a high usage rate but is always looking to make a play
Signature Move: spin, layup
(*factory setting*) NBA 2K17 Rating: 72
