Corey Jae Crowder (BOS) – “New England Clam”

Profile:
Forward: 6’6, 235 lbs; 6th year, Marquette
NBA Role: two-way forward
Much like fellow 2012 draftee Draymond Green (GS), Jae Crowder is an undersized-written off-former second round forward who’s exceeding expectations in the NBA; consistent source of energy & toughness, does not care for your personal space – sticky defender (normally in the mix for steals, deflections, blocks and loose balls); built like an NFL tight end – uses his strong frame to finish through contact, cradles the ball like Jason Witten – but has some finesse (ft. pull-up midrangers)*; falls on drives like every other Golden Eagle (talking to you, Jimmy, Wade & Wes); good shooter from downtown – important as Jae spends time at both 3 & 4; Jae is a fan favorite in Boston (how can you not like him!?)**; vital member of a possible Finals contender – can Crowder help BOS seize the opportunity in 2017-18?
*Crowder’s gotten much better at rising up off the bounce:
**he’s actually one of those, ‘love him if he’s on your team, hate him if he’s not’ players
