Harrison Barnes (DAL) – “Black Falcon”

Profile:
Small Forward: 6’8, 225 lbs; 6th year, UNC
NBA Role: versatile, two-way forward • Star UnderDOG
Say what you want about World Champion & Olympic Gold Medalist Harrison Barnes – he’s accomplished more than a couple tings by the age of 25; the Black Falcon was a key component behind Golden State‘s near-mythical status – the latter part of Barnes’ Warriors’ tenure wasn’t great but he did his part* & provided important, two-way wing play; if Barnes ever embraces his true basketball self (hybrid, mismatch forward w/ microscopic passivity levels), DAL has a chance to surprise out West; has assimilated very quickly under Rick Carlisle – utilizes his size & shooting ability over smaller guys in the post, smacks threes & drops the hammer down after a full head of steam (got to the line at a higher clip in ’16-’17); ‘poster boy’ for the new wave of Mavs basketball? – DAL is shifting towards athletes, Barnes needs plenty of minutes getting out in transition w/ Nerlens Noel & Dwight Powell; is Harrison a role player or star in Dallas? – off to a confident start, can HB keep up his high level of play?
*inconsistencies aside, Barnes what is you’d label a true team player: not the type to openly complain about his role or play outside of himself if he’s struggling
