Vlade Divac swung for the FENCES, an Alfonso Soriano-esque (homerun) hack, in selecting Greece’s Georgios Papagiannis #13 overall in the 2016 Draft; Papa G has NBA size at 7’0, 240 (needs to gain 15-20 lbs to play outta the post tho tbh) but other than that, we’ve only seen a couple glimpses of what he’s capable of on the floor; in limited action, Papagiannis has shown some skill on the glass and down low; is he a 4 or 5? Will Coach Dave Joerger encourage Georgios to shoot long jumpers & stretch the floor or develop some moves on the box? – it’ll be interesting to see which direction/strategy SAC decides to deploy for its extremely young (20 years old) pivot; adjusting to NBA speed could prove challenging, as well as consistently shutting down the lane; a D-League staple in Year 1, we might not see Papa G contribute in the big leagues for at least a year
