DeAndre Jordan (LAC) – “DJ”

Profile:
Center: 6’11, 265 lbs; 9th year, Texas A&M
NBA Role: ravenous rebounder & rim protector • Top DOG
DeAndre Jordan: an athletic, powerfully built specimen whose main priorities are to intimidate opponents on the boards and protect the basket; every night, DJ systematically destroys opponents on the glass – look up, down, then up again and DJ has already grabbed 10 rebounds, created extra possessions and, most importantly, helped dictate the pace of the game; on the receiving end of countless lobs from CP3 and Blake, Jordan runs the floor like a gazelle, tries to punish every rim w/ a devastating flush – ‘up top,’ catch & finish guy – Jordan always leads the league in total dunks because that’s his primary source of O; still does not feature a single go-to move on the block and is a bottom-5 foul shooter*; Jordan took his game to new heights in 2017 (first-time All-Star) – for LA to contend, they need DJ’s best effort
*it’s not a huge deal, however (well, the FT shooting is) – DJ has a clearly defined role, LAC isn’t offensively challenged
Signature Slam: ‘Knight Rider’
