David Lee (SAS) – “D. Lee”

Profile:
Power Forward: 6’9, 245 lbs; 13th year, Florida
NBA Role: scoring power forward • Salty DOG
A former #30 overall pick (2005) and 2x All-Star, David Lee is a veteran lefty who played a nice role on the Dubs‘ 2015 title team after losing his starting spot to Draymond Green (GS); days as a star may be over but D. Lee remains an ‘amphibious‘ big who can finish w/ either hand around the basket – Lee’s layups and floaters are interesting (looks like the ball is stuck to his hand before placing it in); excellent passer: finds cutters from the elbow, keeps the rock hopping from side to side – can he duplicate Boris Diaw’s (UTA) 2013-2015 production for Coach Pop?; spin floaters on 10 – D. Lee likes to reverse pivot into lefty floaters; just a worker on the glass – fundamental box outs, does his work before the ball’s in the air; not a defender, sometimes gotta hide him on the worst offensive player; one of 28759274 Salty DOGs in San Antonio*
