The 2nd Version of Darrun Hilliard: a former Villanova Wildcat with a chance to develop into a long-range menace in the Motor City; Hilliard, a lefty, did not garner much buzz before the 2015 Draft but impressed Stan Van Gundy enough to warrant an early second-round selection; can put the ball on the floor in a pinch but is best at spotting up for triples – confident rising up off curls, good concentration in the corner; like a lot of second-round prospects, Hilliard needs to either perfect his best skill (shooting) or work on a more well-rounded game – to join SVG’s rotation, Darrun’s gotta avoid defensive lapses and hit open 3s*
