Danilo Gallinari

(Isaiah J. Downing/USA TODAY Sports)

DEN Forward: 6’10, 225 lbs; 9th year, Italy

NBA Role: versatile, scoring forward Star UnderDOG

Nicknamed ‘The Rooster,’ Danilo Gallinari is bad, bad news for the opposition once he gets going; the Nuggets’ best player when fully healthy, Gallo’s supreme confidence stems from the belief he can score on anyone…in any situation; great shooter who loves to pick up the keys and drive – looks a lil outta control heading to the rim but he’s a creative finisher who throws in ‘trick shots’* – Gallo isn’t majestic by any means but he somehow staggers down the lane, with purpose, and (either) contorts his body for a layup or goes strong w/ two; very injury prone and doesn’t defend all too well; one of the league’s best Star UnderDOGs – ‘shut the door’ closer who gets angry when the ball isn’t in his hands late; what’s your ceiling w/ Gallo in charge? – Nuggets are very young, surprisingly deep & have a good coach – can Gallo push them to success in 2018?

*aka a lot of BS…
