Brandon Jennings (WAS) – “The Pterodactyl”

Profile:
Point Guard: 6’1, 169 lbs; 9th year, Oak Hill Academy (VA)
NBA Role: crafty playmaker • UnderDOG
An offensive-minded PG outta Compton, B. Jennings has come a long way as a playmaker in the NBA; sees the floor well: finds minuscule seams for passes and places them perfectly in his teammates’ hands – you might think Jennings is a shoot-first guy but as his role’s diminished from starter to backup, he’s adjusted to a pass-first mentality (well, mostly); scores primarily via the three ball – Jennings has some of the best back & forth ‘rocks’ in the league – will yank you, then step back to the left for a dagger trey; when he’s tired of shooting threes (which is rare), Jennings will blow by & lift a nice lil lefty floater; struggles defending bigger PGs, taking care of the rock & finishing through contact but despite all that…Jennings is one of the more underestimated floor generals in the league – adds a punch off Scott Brooks’s bench
