It’s another Gold for Team USA and in this one, Serbia didn’t stand much of a chance. Kevin Durant absolutely caught fire during the second quarter, with back-to-back triples and a dynamic flush in the span of 30 seconds. Meanwhile, Paul George completely shut down Serbia’s leader, Milos Teodosic…so they could never get in any sort of rhythm.
Add in Boogie’s beauty night on the interior – 13 points, 15 boards – and you’ve got another easy gold.
Play of the Day:
“Synchronized” – This might have been Team USA’s best sequence of the entire Olympics.
Wrap-Up:
Rio wasn’t the smoothest ride but it had its fair share of memorable moments, like Carmelo Anthony capturing his 3rd GOLD MEDAL, becoming one of the most decorated Olympians of all- time in the process.
There were a few bumps in the road but at the end of the day: mission accomplished.
